Abstrak: This thesis discusses the effectiveness of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of grade 4 students at SD Negeri 1 Jadimulya, Cirebon Regency. The study was motivated by learning using the STAD model so that the learning process was innovative and varied so that students did not feel bored in learning. Based on the formulation of the problem in this study, this study aims 1) to find out how good the student learning outcomes are before using the STAD learning model at SD Negeri 1 Jadimulya, 2) how well the students' reading skills are after applying the STAD model at SD Negeri 1 Jadimulya, 3) How big is the difference between students' reading ability before and after applying the STAD learning model at SD Negeri 1 Jadimulya. This research is a type of quantitative research using the Pre-Experimental Design method with the type of One Group Pretest-Posttest. the two existing variables are variable X (type STAD cooperative learning model) and variable Y (student learning outcomes), because it takes all 4th grade students with 28 respondents as research subjects. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive analysis test data analysis techniques, analysis prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity techniques and inferential statistical tests with paired T-Test test techniques with the help of SPSS. After conducting the instrument test, the researcher distributed test questions to obtain X and Y data. Student learning outcomes before using the STAD learning model obtained an average value of 61.86 and after using the STAD learning model the average value was 85.18. The results of the hypothesis test are known that the tcount value (97.83) > ttable value (2.051) with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 0.05, so in this case it means that it is significant or h0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant difference to student learning outcomes. before and after using the STAD type cooperative learning model. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between learning using the STAD type cooperative model on social studies learning outcomes for grade 4 students at SD Negeri 1 Jadimulya.
